Models of Diversity are holding a charitable fashion show Curves in Couture on Thursday 17 November 2011 at Tabernacle W11 celebrating healthy, curvy women.

This catwalk extravaganza is a fundraiser for The Advance Centre, a wonderful organization that helps the families of brain-damaged children.

The show will be attended by special guest, Caroline Rush, CEO of the British Fashion Council.

Samantha Cameron has always shown a huge interest in the world of fashion but it was during London Fashion week that people really began to see the true Mrs. Cameron.

Sitting in a coveted front row seat, she looked less than enthusiastic as the female models showcased the designer’s, Erdem, wears. It wasn’t because she was unimpressed by the clothes but more so the models.

In recent times, designers and fashion houses have begun to deviate from what was the size zero norm, opting to preview their new editions on more ‘realistic’ women but what London Fashion week has shown is that there are still some opting to use models who look less than healthy and can hardly fill the clothes they are meant to be selling.

Samantha Cameron’s face said what we were all thinking. This isn’t right and this isn’t healthy. She opened London Fashion week for the first time explaining how she was ‘passionate about fashion’ and how it ‘makes people feel’ and so it was no laughing matter when the models chosen by Erdem paraded the outfits in skeletal frames.

All I can say is respect to Mrs. Cameron for not admiring what was being showcased of her and my hope is that she can fight the fight against what is clearly unhealthy.

The most romantic day of the year…

The day where it is almost mandatory to eat our weight in chocolate…

The day where we MUST be showered with love and affection…

There is only one day I could be talking about and that’s Valentine’s Day!

Currently the world is gripped in a recession but let’s throw that thought out the window for one day and spoil our other half’s (or if you have the good fortune to be single, yourself) rotten.

My local cinema is showing Ghost on the big screen. I can’t resist the Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore pottery lurve making scene with the Righteous Brothers blasting out at me!  I’m pretty confident that my boyfriend thinks Ghost is a horror film so I’m sure to get my way that night, my plans have been set.
